A law graduate from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has allegedly stabbed his younger brother to death in Anambra State.
The suspect, Victor Ohale, 28, who recently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, was said to have stabbed his younger brother, Kelechi Ohale, 19, with a knife in the head.
The victim died while being taken to the hospital.
Anambra police spokesman, Haruna Mohammed, said the incident occurred at 8, Oraeri street, GRA, Awka, around 4am on Tuesday.
Mr Mohammed said the brothers are natives of Emekuku in Owerri North LGA of Imo State.
“Scene was visited by Police detectives and victim rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead on arrival at Amaku Teaching Hospital Awka, by the medical doctor and the corpse deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
“The suspect who was a law graduate from UNIZIK recently returned from the NYSC programme at Owerri in Imo State,” he said.
Mohammed said the case was under investigation to ascertain issues around the incident.
He said the suspect would be charged to court afterwards.
