Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has held a close-door meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Mr Gbajabiamila arrived in the company of some members of the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
The meeting began around 3.05pm on Monday at the Vice President’s office in Aso Rock, Abuja.
They will be expected to address journalists on the outcome of the meeting.
Gbajabiamila was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives on June 11 after shaking off challenge from Mohammed Bago of Niger State.
He secured 284 votes to defeat Mr Bago who garnered a paltry 76 votes.
The Lagos legislator has been his party’s favourite for the position after breaking protocol by publicly declaring his interest.
