Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar, has denied threatening to lead a “massive protest” over claims by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that it did not transmit the results of the elections to a server.
A PDP youth support group had tweeted on Saturday evening with a quote which it alleged to originate from Atiku.
“My Server Results Are Authentic and If judges frustrate the Justice we will take over the street. I will lead all Nigerians in a massive protest that mankind have never witness before,” the tweet said.
However, Atiku said on Sunday that the quote attributed to him was ‘fake and the handiwork of mischief makers.’
“The quote purportedly attributed to me with respect to INEC Server, an issue currently before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal is fake and the handiwork of mischief makers,” Atiku tweeted.

INEC had insisted last week that the server which Atiku and PDP were demanding access to did not exist. But Atiku says that by the figures obtained from INEC’s purported server, he won the presidential election held in February.
The former Vice President said that the server revealed he scored 18,356,732 votes while Buhari polled 16,741,430 votes.
