A family has been left totally distraught after losing a lot of money just as they were still mourning a death.
A family which was still mourning the death of a family member has been hit by another tragedy.
According to Daily Sun SA, the family had just lost their wife and daughter-in-law, however, their pain was made worse when three family members were robbed by a group of men before the day of the funeral.
The victims identified as Vicky Molotsi (42) of Ga-Rankuwa View in Tshwane, and his two aunts, Emmah Mogashoa (61) and Agnes Nkgabutlewere, were robbed of money next to their gate.
Vicky lost his wife, Modiegi (31) last Saturday after a short sickness.
Emmah said they were supposed to pay the undertaker with the money.
She Said:-
“We were coming back from the shopping centre where he withdraw money at the bank.”
Emmah added immediately after Vicky parked outside their home, two cars stopped next to them.
“But we thought they were visitors. As we approached the gate about eight men came to us with knives, demanding money from Vicky.”
Their uncle, Joias Tudu, said he saw the thugs but couldn’t do anything as he feared they were going to kill someone. The thugs allegedly fled in a black VW Polo Classic and a blue Mercedes-Benz.
The family said they now fear for their safety, but will continue with the burial.
