Senator Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has congratulated the newly elected Senate President, Ahmed Lawan.
Igbere TV had reported that Lawan emerged SP after defeating Ali Ndume, today, June 11.
He polled 79 votes ahead of Ndume’s 27.
The former Abia governor on his twitter handle @OUKtweets, while congratulating Lawan, representing Yobe North, wrote;
“Senator Ahmed Lawan my former room mate in the university of maiduguri @OfficialAPCNg is officially the President of the 9th National Assembly @NGRSenate. Congratulations to him and all Nigerians.”
