President Muhammadu Buhari has proclaimed the Ninth National Assembly open.

This comes less than a week after his swearing in for a second term.

Igbere TV reports that President Buhari and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo took oath of office at the Eagle Square, Abuja, May 29.

In a letter of proclamation personally signed by him and obtained by Igbere TV on Monday, Buhari said the first session of the ninth assembly will hold on Tuesday, June 11.
