President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday played host to former governor of Abia, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Igbere TV had reported that, Kalu, now a Senator-elect, was in a close door meeting with the president at the aso-villa.
This comes less than 24 hours after the Forbes-rated billionaire endorsed Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan for the position of Senate President of the Ninth National Assembly.
As earlier reported, Kalu seized the opportunity to brief the president on the outcome of his meeting with embattled Venezuelan President, Nicolàs Maduro.
High point of the meeting was the presentation of a note from Maduro to President Buhari.
