Two Veterinary Medicine students of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, have reportedly died after drowning in a swimming pool, Igbere TV has learnt.
Igbere TV gathered that the duo died during a pool party yesterday night being Saturday 25th of May.
According to report, the tragic event occurred during a pool party as organized by the Director Of Socials of Veterinary in the name of Comr. Alexander.
The incident, Igbere TV learnt, happened last night during a birthday party at Kenvilles hotel, In Umuahia, Abia State.
The deceased have been identified as Johnson Ibe, a 300 level student, and Egwu David, a 100 level Course Representatives Student of Veterinary medicine, MOUAU.
The two students were said to be drunk and in the process of swimming, got drowned.
Their bodies were found floating on the water this morning and recovered.
Meanwhile, a student source told Igbere TV that a set of police men invaded Veterinary hostel this morning and arrested some students as a result of the incident.
