There was heavy tension and palpable fear on Wednesday as one of buses used by Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Service in Lagos caught fire while in transit.
An eyewitness told Igbere TV that the bus caught fire and burnt while on the third mainland bridge.
Igbere TV gathered that, the bus, which was heading towards Iyana-Oworo, caught fire just after Adeniji Adele axis of the bridge.
Igbere TV learnt that the accident on the bridge, which is the longest of three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland, resulted in heavy traffic.
The Lagos fire service and LASTMA officials were seen at the scene to put out the fire and also manage the traffic.
No casualty recorded as at the time of filing this report.
