Eminent Leaders Set to Receive Suncity News Champions of Democracy and Development 2019 (SCDD)

In its effort to deepen democracy in the county, Suncity News is set to celebrate individuals, government agencies and security personnel who have contributed positively to the successful conclusion of the 2019 general elections as well as those who have given their best to ensure the development of the country.


In a statement issued by the publisher of the magazine, Mr Chibuisi Mba, the media outfit noted that no much have been done to encourage such individuals.
“The elections has come and gone, some win others loss but Nigeria we still stands united as one country.


“In our effort to encourage and project outstanding political leaders whose effort and commitment to nationhood made possible the peaceful conduct, unity and success recorded in the just concluded 2019 general election and to consolidate on the gains thereof, SUNCITY NEWS will be unveiling an exclusive list of Suncity News’s Champions of Democracy and Development 2019”, he said.


The statement added that “While the global community celebrates Nigeria’s democratic journey, very little have been said about the actors who are helping to shape the conversation in our country’s political landscape.


“The Suncity News Champions of Democracy and Development award aims to celebrate Nigeria’s unsung champions of democracy and development, highlighting the nexus between democracy and development.


“In this dispensation, we have witnessed relative peaceful electoral process before, during and after the 2019 general elections. We have seen individuals stretching their ingenuity in building a better society for us all, even governments at various levels executing social-economic infrastructure across the length and breadth of their catchment areas, vigorous implementation of human capital development and tireless enforcement of peace and security to guarantee protection of lives and property by individuals and security personals.
“Indeed, the next edition of “SUNCITY NEWS SPECIAL” a 40 page full coloured A3 size Magazine creatively designed to profile and celebrate uncommon Nigerians and political leaders whose contributions has helped in projecting Nigeria in a good light especially before, during and after the 2019 general elections.
