Former Minister of Finance, Dr. (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been honoured with an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy degree from Tel Aviv University, Israel, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that Okonjo-Iweala, who doubled as Coordinating Minister of the Economy under former President Goodluck Jonathan, was honoured for her work on economic development, poverty alleviation, transparency and inclusion.
Okonjo-Iweala, who posted the photos in a tweet obtained by Igbere TV on Friday, wrote;
“Wonderful to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy degree from Tel Aviv University for my work on Economic Development, Poverty Alleviation, Transparency and Inclusion.
“L-R: With Chair Board of Governors TAU Dr Jacob Frenkel, President TAU, Prof Joseph Klafter and fellow honorees including Former Chair of the Federal Reserve Janet Yellen, Chair UBS and former Chair ECB and Bundesbank Dr Axel Weber.”
