Fuel scarcity have hits some notable filling stations across Ebonyi, Abia, Enugu,Imo and others following the reluctance of some marketers to dispense the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol. IGBERE TV authoritatively reports.
The fuel scarcity which started on Sunday forced some filling stations to an early closure.
A check on Monday morning by IGBERE TV correspondents confirmed that the pump price of Petroleum motor spirit (PMS) otherwise known as fuel increased to N180 per litre as against N145.
In MULAAK filling station located at Ishiagu in IVO LGA of Ebonyi state, the pump price of PMS is N180 with a long queue of patronizers.
A check at Uburu, in Ohaozara LGA the home town of Governor David Umahi shows that all filling stations were locked up due to fuel scarcity.
In Awgu LGA in Enugu state, all the filling stations were equally shutdown including NNPC owned filling station were as vehicular activities grounded due the the scarcity.
IGBERE TV reports that some of the filling stations owned by the Independent Petroleum Marketers prefer to to sell their products to black marketers in an attempt to maximise profit.
IGBERE TV can not ascertain the reasons of the fuel scarcity as at the time of filling this report.
