Research carried out by Igbere Tv so far has disclosed that the main reason why the Baro River Port and Onitsha River port is yet to function is because of the second Niger bridge project.
Igbere Tv learnt that there is no means small vessels can sail from Warri port to Onitsha or Baro Niger state without going through Onitsha, JB has blocked the River Niger from Onitsha end.
Igbere Tv was made to understand that the ports will start functioning once the Niger bridge has been completed that’s main reason the construction firm are rushing the project. JB promised to deliver the bridge in 2020/2021.
