A young Nigerian Girl, Ms Chideraa Njoku, 22-year-old from Mbaise in Imo state has made Nigeria proud by shattering academic records in Pharmacy in Indian Subharti University.
Igbere TV learnt that Ms Njoku came on top of her class with first class honours and was awarded a gold medal for her academic excellence and a scholarship for her onward doctorate degree by the University.
When Nigeria government does not value what it has or recognize and value Nigerian academics or those with high professional skills, other countries around the world would continue to tap into such opportunities for their own benefits, while Nigeria continues to mislay.
Ms Njoku`s parents, Mr Joe & Mrs Happiness Njoku Udorly took their daughter to study overseas due to lack of continuity in the Nigerian system of education and the poor regulatory system of Nigeria Universities commission.
Ms Njokus great accomplishment came at the wake of the current Nigerian government
s reckless statement that Nigeria doctors are free to leave Nigeria. Instead of creating enabling environment that would encourage doctors, allied health and other Nigerian professionals to stay or come back home and make Nigeria better, the Nigerian government through her Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige has rather advised that doctors are free to leave the country. With this kind of leaders in the current Nigeria government you begin to wonder where the country is still heading.
