Police Arrest, Parade Killers of 'Edu Brazil' in Jos (Photos)

The Plateau State police command has arrest three cultist belonging to dreaded “Black Axe” group in JOS the plateau state capital for killing barbing Saloon operator, “Edu Brazil”

Igberetv report that the cultist group has been terrorising parts of of the state for quite awhile committing one  form of crime and the other.

The suspects

The plateau state police commissioner Olutayo Akinmoyede stated this in a press briefing held at the command Headquarters along Abrahim Taiwo Road during the parade of the suspects.

The commissioner of Police who called the press conference to review the achievement of the command in crime fighting in the state and its environ, told igberetv that  the suspects who were three in number were been changed for criminal conspiracy, Armed Robbery and culpable homicide.

He further revealed to Igbere tv that the arrest of the suspect followed a report to the  command by one promise Chigundu on the March 19th, 2019 that his elder brother with the name “Edu Brazil” operating barbing saloon shop located at Bible Faith ,laranto in JOS North LGA was shot dead.

The commissioner added that the brother of the deceased describe the people that committed the heinous crime to have been riding on Power Bike, which they he said also stole three handsets belonging to the victim” Edu Brazil.”

Olutayo said on getting the report, the police swung into action which led to the arrest of one of the prime suspects, Chukwudi Okafor,which eventually led to the arrest of more two  said to be behind the crime,and gave their names as Otega Ezekiel Benjamin and Mencha Weng as the suspects has made useful statement ,which led to the Police recovery of the weapon they use for their operations.

The weapon recovered from them include locally made pistol, live cartridges ,cutlass and three handsets belonging to the victim  “Edu Brazil.”

The command also paraded  a young lady Patricia Felix who allegedly lured his supposedly lover to a house located at West of Mines, and secretly invited three armed men who come and robbed him of his wrist watch valued three hundred thousand naira ,and physical cash of ten thousand .

The commissioner further said the case was however report to the command which led to the arrest of Abraham Oko and innocent Audu and the wrist watch of the complainant was recovered and third suspect still on the run.

Other suspects paraded before the newsmen igberetv report were case of culpable homicide involving Abrahim Sanusi age 19years leaving at Gangare in JOS North LGA and four of his gang members who invaded Tudun Talakawa of Rikkos and attacked Usani Mohammed and Shafiu Hussaini who came to rescue their victims ,in the process they use cutlass and severed the right hand of Shafiu Hussaini.

The commissioner said Umar Alhassan  had been arrested,  currently undergoing investigation.

He however ,use the press conference to appeal to the people of plateau state to conduct themselves during the rerun election in the state schedule to hold 23rd March,2019,and stay away from anything capable of causing breakdown of law and order, as the Police is ready to deal with anybody who may want to cause problem in the state.
