Odebunmi Sad Over Lagos, Oyo Building

One of the major contenders for the position  of Speaker in the 9th National Assembly, Hon. Segun Odebunmi (representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa federal constituency) has expressed shock over the collapse of buildings in Ita-Faaji and Sogoye in Lagos and Oyo states respectively.According to the third-term federal legislator, the disasters are disheartening and lamentable.

He called on appropriate authorities to carry out detailed investigation on the cause of the disasters to avert recurrence. In a statement released on Monday, Odebunmi condoled with families of the departed souls, while praying for the speedy recovery of the victims hospitalised.

He said, “the unfortunate incidents of building collapse  in Ita Faaji and Sogoye in Lagos and Oyo States respectively call for sober reflection.”

It is a big loss not only to Lagos and Oyo states but the nation at large.” I pray to God to grant the departed souls eternal rest and comfort their families.

The federal legislator commiserated with the governments and people of Lagos and Oyo states.
