Few hours to the Governorship and House Of Assembly elections, the member representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency has reportedly stepped down his bid to seek re-election into the House of Representatives, a source revealed.
Igbere TV gathered that Prestige made the decision following the total loss his party, APGA recorded in the recently concluded presidential and National Assembly elections.
Our source said he has few hours to the rerun of the Constituency’s election earlier declared inconclusive by INEC, collapsed his structure and ordered his supporters to vote for APC.
All efforts by Igbere TV to reach the federal lawmaker for a comment proved abortive.
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the party in Aba North, Engr. Christian Ikechukwu confirmed the lawmaker’s decision, attributing to the poor outing the party recorded in the last election.
