Some primary school pupils have fallen ill and rushed to a hospital after reportedly taking a meal in Katsina.
It has been reported that as many as five Primary school pupils have been rushed to a primary health care center in Makurda, Rimi Local government in the early hours of Monday after taking their meal being served to them in school.
Local reports show that the pupils complained of stomach ache immediately after taking the meal which prompted the school to stopped the sharing of the food and quickly retrieved the remnants from the other pupils.
The pupils who complained of the stomachache were then quickly rushed to the nearby health facility and they were all treated.
Public Relations Officer of Katsina State Ministry of Education, Salisu Kerau confirmed the incidence to Katsina Post but added that the situation was brought under control and the children have since resumed school.
Investigation is ongoing to find out were the main problem was from.
