Atiku Abubakar has defeated his closest rival, Muhammadu Buhari in Edo state in the official collation of the presidential election.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, Igberetvnews reports.

Atiku polled a total of 275,691 votes to defeat Buhari who polled 267,842 votes.
