The senatorial candidate of the people’s Democratic Party( PDP) in the just concluded Abia North election , Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa was on Sunday morning invited for query by the Police over his misconduct during the Saturday general elections .
A reliable source close to Criminal Investigation Department , CID, Abia command said the query was in respect of the snatching of result sheets by Ohuabunwa on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
The source said Ohuabunwa stormed Arochukwu Local government collation Centre and forced himself into the collation room. Every attempt to resist him failed as thugs with him overpowered the security details before disappearing with one of the result sheets .
It is yet to be confirmed if Ohuabunwa has reported to the police but the gravity of his offense according to the source may lead to indefinite detention after interrogation.
