Abia: As compilations of the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representative results from the five local government Areas of Abia North senatorial zone continues, with All Progressives Congress (APC) clearly leading , plans to alter the result of the Arochukwu local government has been foiled with arrests made by the police
According to reliable sources in the collation Centre , IINEC officials led by Dr V. Ibe made attempts to rewrite the results in Favour of the PDP candidates .
The source confirmed that thugs were used to intimidate the Returning officer to do similar bidding but Mrs O. Mba fiercely resisted .
According to an eye witness, Mrs Mba stood her ground insisting that it was unethical to manipulate results against any candidate .
Our source also confirmed that the security operatives’ intervention has led to the arrest of Dr . Ibe , adding that he has been handcuffed and whisked away to the police station .
Results of wards in Arochukwu , hometown of the people’s Democratic Party senatorial candidate , Senator Mao Ohuabunwa is regrettably against Ohuabunwa as the APC Candidate, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu is ceremoniously leading with huge figures .
