The All Progressives Congress (APC) and main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have vowed to continue their campaigns following the postponement of the general elections by a week, Igberetvnews reports.
The national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomole and Campaign Director of the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation, Rabiu Kwankwaso said this in separate interviews with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
This is even as the Independent National Electoral Commission said it would take the final decision on Monday to determine whether political parties should resume campaigns .
The Chief Press Secretary to INEC chairman , Rotimi Oyekanmi, reacting to inquiries by Igberetvnews as to whether or not INEC would rescind ban on campaigns following the postponement of the presidential and National Assembly elections by one week, said the electoral body would take the final decision on the issue on Monday .
He said, “On the issue of campaigns, the Commission will meet tomorrow (Monday) and take a decision on the matter.”
