In 2015 presidential election postponement was announced on the 7th of February Saturday, a full week before the elections slated For 14 February.
The reasons were;
1) To improve the security situation in the country by battling the Boko Haram.
2) To allow space for more Nigerians to collect their PVC’s
In 2019 general elections were postponed on the 16th of February on the day of the initial elections slated for the 16th of February.
