Members of the indigenous people of Biafra on Monday evening shutdown Upper Iweka axis in Anambra State in a peaceful protest over Biafra Referendum. IGBERE TV reports.
Source in the rally who preferred not to be named while speaking with IGBERE TV correspondents says the decision of the protest is to create awareness on the upcoming Biafra Referendum and to enlightened the people to boycott the Nigerian general election.
Recall IGBERE TV had reported that IPOB fixed February 16th for Biafra referendum, a date which collide with Nigerian presidential election.
The Nigerian authority had since threatened to deal with the group if they should go ahead to disrupt the general elections as planned.
