The speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has formally announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress(APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) during plenary on Tuesday, Igberetvnews reports.
Dogara had joined the PDP since late last year and had picked up the party’s form for his reelection bid but was yet to announce his defection in the house.
Igberetvnews gathered that two other APC lawmakers – Ahmed Yerima and Edward Pwajok – also moved from to the PDP.
Yerima is representing Misau/Damdam constituency in Bauchi state while Pwajok represents Jo’s south-east constituency in Plateau state.
There were no reasons given for leaving the ruling APC party.
