During the regim of the former Governor Of Abia State, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu (1999 to 2007) ,the internally Generated Revenue (IGR), monthly Allocation from FG was less than what is gotten today by the state Government but yet, the former Governor comfortably paid all the Outstanding debts in the State before leaving office. Abians never complained of lack of salaries and pensions. Things were moving very smoothly and everybody was happy because the Former Governor understands the plight of his people and their welfarism was his utmost priority..
There was infrastructural developments and free Education in the State but many may oppose this, due to sentiments and propaganda but we all know the truth..
The only Crime they alleged, was that the former Governor produced a Successor but we failed to understand that it is the legitimate right and joy of every successful father to produce a successor he found worthy, but when this successor deviates from the father’s foot steps, should we continue to blame the father? God himself made man in his own image and likeness yet man disobeyed God, so should God be blamed for creating man in his own image and likeness?
It’s quite encouraging and impressive that the former Governor hails from Abia north and has decided to Run for Senate due to the Grace Of God. Politics outside, the people of Abia north are indeed privilege to have a Dogged fighter and a successful man to represent them at the Senate Chamber. It’s an opportunity that can’t be taken for granted, it’s an opportunity that should be well utilized for total liberation of Abia north and to restore her lost Glory.
Let’s also remember that the former Governor has nothing to loose because he has already made it, financially and otherwise because he is a very successful business tycoon but out of his love for his people he accepted to Run for their general interest..
For Abia north to be restored completely ,We need him at the Senate. Behind our back, he has already done alot for Abia north and that is why we should send him to do more..
