Two supporters of the All Progressives Congress have lost their lives during the party’s presidential rally in Sokoto on Wednesday, Igberetvnews reports.
Igberetvnews gathered that an unidentified woman and a 15-year old boy were the victims of the sad incident.
Igberetvnews learnt that the woman lost her life after being knocked down by a moving vehicle along the road leading to Giginya Memorial Stadium, the venue of the campaign rally.
The boy, however, was said to have collapsed and died inside the venue of the rally due to large crowd.
Confirming the incident, the Information Officer of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sokoto Operation Office, Abu-Bilal Baba-Ali, said after being rushed to the nearest hospital, the two were certified dead.
