2019: PDP Chieftain Reveals Why Atiku May Lose 4m Voters In Upcoming Presidential Election

Mark Iheanyi, chairman of the coalition of all Atiku support groups in Lagos State has lamented the non availability of campaign materials to more than 800 pro-Atiku groups in the state which according to him, could lead to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) presidential candidate losing over four million voters, Igberetvnews reports.

Igberetvnews gathered that Iheanyi who doubles as the founder/national chairman of Atiku leadership forum in Lagos also lamented that the campaign groups haven’t gotten financial backing from the campaign headquarters as all campaign activities has been self funded.

“The leadership of the party has never told us that the support groups will not be compensated for their efforts. The tactical manner they are going about it needs to be re-examined. Even when PDP leaders had a meeting with the coordinators of the groups in Lagos, they went home disgruntled ,”the PDP chieftain said.

“Something has to be done fast before our teeming members are demoralised and forced to abandon the campaign. Given the 6.6 million voting population of Lagos State, we require at least two campaign buses for each of the three senatorial zones.”

Iheanyi said it was important for the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCO) to refrain from doing anything that would slow down the tempo of the campaign and lead to losing the election in Lagos state.

He also urged the leadership of the party to focus on winning the February 16 presidential election by defeating the ruling party, APC.
