Former Chairman of Ohafia local government in Abia state, High Chief John Ogboso has described the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led Abia State government as a failure.
According to the former member of Abia state House of Assembly, the dividends of democracy had not been felt in Abia state in the past 8 years.The politician, who recently decamped from PDP to APC, made these remarks on Tuesday during the campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Orji Kalu in Akanu, Ohafia LGA of Abia state.While recalling the achievements of Kalu in the areas of erosion control, health, education, youth and women empowerment, the former Chairman, urged the electorate to resist any attempt to manipulate votes by the PDP in the general elections.
Ogboso noted that the former governor has attracted federal projects to Abia state including the Bende-Ohafia-Arochukwu road.Speaking in the same vein, Chief Dennis Ibe, a leader of APC in Ohafia LGA of Abia state has blasted Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for failing to live up to expectations, adding that Abians cannot wait to wrest power from the current administration in the state.
The decampee while berating the PDP led Abia state government for sharing the collective resources among a few individuals, the APC stalwart lauded the federal government for its giant strides in infrastructural development across the country.Ibe while promising to galvanise grassroots support for the senatorial ambition of the APC candidate in Abia North, Dr. Orji Kalu, added that the people of Abia North senatorial zone will be well represented in the red chamber, if Kalu is elected. He maintained that in the forthcoming elections, the APC will come out victorious, adding that the people have confidence in the APC candidates across the state.
