Former governor of Abia State and All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate for Abia North senatorial election , Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has denied new allegation of buying off masters’ energy filling stations owned by the APC governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr Uche Ogah
Kalu said the allegation is baseless and total low life campaign by the opponents.
In a statement issued and signed by Peter Eze and Kenneth Udeh both from his media office, the business mogul described the allegation as ridiculous , stating that it’s worrisome that people who have never attempted building even the smallest retail business unit try so hard to smear the names of employers of labour.
The allegation was contained in a story being circulated online , which claims that Ogah was denied a one billion naira loan from Anambra born business tycoon, Prince Authur Eze to prosecute his election. The claim adds that due to Ogah’s inability to secure the loan , He resorted to selling off his Master’s energy filling stations to Kalu as the only means of bankrolling his campaign.
The online platform, believed to be a hatchet arm of Abia State government has consistently reported that Ogah is financially incapacitated and no longer has the financial muscle to wrestle power from the incumbent governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu
Meanwhile, Ogah’s media office has strongly refuted the claims insisting it’s a false story planted by the PDP to misinform Abians and Nigerians at large .
Kalu’s statement mentioned that although he is a local and international businessman with interests in many sectors , he has never at any point in time discussed any business transaction with Uche Ogah not to talk of purchasing any of his business entities.
The statement partly reads, “Uche Ogah is a businessman with track records of overwhelming success . He has made great impacts in the life of many through his achievements and wealth of experience in business.
“At this period, Abia need someone like him to turn the state around. My relationship with him remains cordial and we are undaunted in the task of ensuring that the APC forms the next Government in Abia State at all levels.
“He has surpassed the expectations of his opponents by his large out and it’s a pity all they can do is engaging in filthy campaign.”
Kalu urged Abians to remain resolute in their convictions about Ogah and warned the promoters of the allegation to desist from cheap blackmails and face the reality by simply playing by the rules of politics
