The member representing Matazu/ Musawa federal constituency, Ibrahim Murtala has announced his defection from the ruling party to PDP in a letter read by the speaker, Yakubu Dogara, on the floor of the House.
The report said in the letter, Murtala said that he wished to inform the house and the general public that he was no longer a card-carrying member of the APC.
It was learnt that the lawmaker said he would start pursuing his political career under the umbrella of the PDP.
Months ago, the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, announced his exit from the APC weeks after some senators and members of the House of Representatives dumped the party
