Saving Lives Impact Global Initiative To Tackle Misplaced Priorities In Nigeria And Africa

*SAVING LIVES IMPACT GLOBAL INITIATIVE to tackle misplaced Priorities in Nigeria and Africa at large* !

*SAVING LIVES IMPACT GLOBAL INITIATIVE is a non governmental, non political and non religious humanitarian organization incorporated in Nigeria (RC: 117936) to partner with relevant bodies, organizations and individuals to aid humanity.

As the Founder of this fledgling initiative, i think the worst thing that has happened to Africa is religion!

The Founder

Don’t bury me yet, allow me to die first! Africa has more religious places than schools and industries.

I have never seen a dilapidated church. I have seen hundreds of dilapidated schools. The developed countries I have gone to, I never saw mosques at their airports but go to Abuja Airport.

In most streets in FCT, I see uncountable churches and mosques in each street without a single industry.

In my home town, the schools are rotting away while church buildings are growing bigger. No industries, No single community health center not to talk about a standard hospital, just churches.

I keep telling people that if the churches in Port Harcourt were to be transformed into schools and industries, unemployment will vanish within one year and crimes will be brought to a halt. He agreed.

Inspite the fact that we have more religious centers, crime, corruption, killings, robbery, ethnic issues etc continue to be on the rise.

Truth is, if a politician asks a certain village what they will prefer to be built for them, chances that they will chose a church or central mosque will be higher.

Do you doubt me? Many politicians have built more mosques and churches for their villages than human capacity development nor providing quality industries nor standard schools.

I learnt that the former governorof Bayelsa state, DSP Alameiseiya died on the way while being ferried to UPTH when he had a heart attack.

Many people including Politicians have lost their lives because of lack of access to a quality healthcare and yet haven’t learnt their lessons.

Follow East-West road to Bayelsa and Warri. If you happen to have an accident on that road stretch, the nearest hospital is UPTH and chances of survival is narrow. The road is bad. But there are hundreds of churches along that road yet kidnapping and rape, killing etc is the order of the day.

Nigeria as a whole, can’t boast of a very standard 3-star hospital and yet we claim to be the giant of Africa πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

From Port to Aba, you only find casket companies along the road. If you happen to have an accident. You will be ferried to those casket companies for swift burial. Yet churches litter everywhere.

We don’t have a single world class hospital but we have the biggest churches in Nigeria.

Recently, I was opportuned to visit some churches in America that were busy offering free meals (morning, afternoon and evening) for more than 500 people daily, providing shelter for the homeless for more than 1000 people, carrying out skill acquisition training and providing employment for the unemployed. Unfortunately, I don’t know any single church or mosque in Nigeria that does any of this things. There maybe but not to the best if my knowledge. Kindly correct me if there’s any. *I am a true and proud Christian but I think there’s a misplaced priorities here* .

When will churches and mosques in Nigeria and Africa at large start towing towards helping humanity by taking care of the poor, providing shelter, providing free quality meals, carrying out quality skill acquisition training, building free or affordable quality hospitals and schools, providing employment opportunities, building quality hospitals etc.

Our beloved President runs to the mosques on Fridays and runs straight to London hospital on Saturday. Are we normal?

Ike Ekweremadu, the Deputy president of the Senate invited Presidents, ministers, Senators etc to the opening of an Anglican Church he built for his village people. Schools and hospitals there are in tatters.

Vita Abah, former PDP chairman in Enugu built a gigantic Church in his village. Community secondary school Ede Oballa is nothing but an eyesore. His children are abroad.

In the North, a governor once used 600 million naira to hire prayer warriors and imams to pray against boko Haram attacks. The same state had disease outbreaks that led to multiple deaths. Misplaced priorities πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

In the same North, Governors spend millions on recitation of religious texts while the schools are dying. They also spend millions on emirs and imams. One reportedly bought a 600 million naira house for the sultan of Sokoto in Abuja earlier this year. He is among those saying that he can’t pay 30k minimum wage. Imagine the nonsense.

This is in a country where teachers are paid peanuts. But they all have one thing in common: all their children are schooling abroad while they make sure yours go to church and mosque everyday.

Go to your villages and see if the biggest buildings there are not religious houses. How does a nation develop without the education of the citizens? Education is empowerment. It opens doors. An educated mind is a liberated mind.

Religion has done more harm than good in Africa.

Did you read of the attack inside Nigeria Law School because someone felt someone abused Mohammed?

I am a true and proud Christian but am very sorry to say this;
*Religion has never and can never help our development!* It can only further divide and milk us.

Until the management of the churches, mosques, politicians, u and I decide to invest in developing human capacity by providing quality skill acquisition, quality education, industries and changing our religious mentality.

I think we pray more than the people that introduced the religion to us and this has eaten very deep into our mentality. Have we asked ourselves that inspite of our prayers and our daily religious activities, other western and Asian countries are developing better but we are developing backwards! πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

The truth is: if I become the president of this country one day, I will ban religious activities in the schools. No religious houses will be found in university campuses. I schooled in University of Nigeria and I know how students’ church activities distract academic activities. How did we get here?

In this same country, government pay hugely for people to go Mecca and Medina to stone devil and to Jerusalem to talk to the Wall. How much development has that brought us? How has that reduced religious tension in the our country? Only an unwise person will not see how our government is dashing money to other countries through these journeys. The government has no business funding it.

Why not use the money to send our best *Misplaced Priorities in Nigeria and Africa at large* !

The biggest church auditorium of the world with a 100,000 seat capacity has just been launched in Abuja. Imagine SAVING LIVES training 100,000 youths after church service every Sunday for just 3 months, empowering them financially to establish the skills they’ve acquired and charging each participant to train 30 other youths. You already know its multiplier and ripple effect. You will have 3million people trained and equipped by the combined efforts of this one church alone partnering with SAVING LIVES. If it’s done for just 1year, you will have 3million people multiplied by 4(3months of a year), that’s 12million people trained in their various talents and empowered. What happens if every Mosques and Churches key into this initiative, in less than 4years, there would have been massive industrial and technical revolution throughout Africa.

Religion has done more harm than good in Africa.

Did you read of the attack inside Nigeria Law School because someone felt someone abused Mohammed?

I am a true and proud Christian but am very sorry to say this;
*Religion has never and can never help our common development!* It can only further divide and milk us.

Until the management of the churches, mosques, politicians, you and I decide to invest in developing human capacity by providing quality skill acquisition, quality education, industries and changing our religious mentality, Africa will remain in shambles.

I think we pray more than the people that introduced the religion to us and this has eaten very deep into our mentality.

Have we asked ourselves why our prayers and our over zealous daily religious activities have not moved us out of abject poverty and under development while other western and Asian countries are developing and exploring God’s Universe. The once Giants of the world, the beginning of civilization and the first Continental world power have turned dependent paupers, hungry beggars and heavy underdeveloped borrowers. Shame!!! πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

The truth is: if I become the president of this country one day, I will ban religious activities in the schools. No religious houses will be found in university campuses. How has that reduced religious tension in the our country? Only an unwise person will not see how our government is dashing money to other countries through these journeys. The government has no business funding it.

Why not use the money to send our best graduating students to companies like Toyota, LG, Mercedes, top hospitals, top colleges, top Universities etc, to further their trainings there and understudy their systems and bring it back to Nigeria.

I believe the above πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†will help our development better.

This is the same country that has never met the UNESCO prescribed 26% annual budget for education.

I am not against anyone fighting for the church nor mosques but how have they benefited our beloved country?

We believe African witches are always pursuing us and can only be solved through religion. Why are the witches not pursuing the whites that invented everything we are using today. Did they invent those things by going to church alone? Just note that quality education will change this African mentality.

A nation that cannot educate its citizens, provide quality skill acquisition, build quality industries and provide quality healthcare is a
joker, a rogue and a mediocre nation.

Nigerians are opening churches while Chinese, Lebanese and other foreigners are running our economy.

Imagine a nation that the no one citizen and other top government officials fall sick and travel to other countries to access quality quality healthcare and yet haven’t seen the need to develop the heath sectorin Nigeria.

*What a misplaced priority!*

The question to ponder! *Has religion actually helped our development* ?

How did we get here?

Please kindly note that this post is not trying to take swipe at a particular Church, religion nor tribe.
