Why do we prefer barbaric, mundane and pre-historic lifestyle as against modern ways of cattle rearing in ranches and grazing reserves against the proposed deadly grazing routes? Are we the supplier of beef to other countries? Don’t other countries rear cattle? What is the approach in those climes? What are the best practises? Why must leaders in Nigeria continue to behave like idiots? With this recent carnage in Uzo-Uwani, Enugu state, I hope the people of Enugu state and their governor who is becoming docile can protect their people.
I am more interested in Abia state. I hope Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, who represents me and all the senators from Abia State, including the representatives at the House of Representatives, and my own representative, Nkiruka Onyejeocha Chidubem will take action immediately by conveying an emergency state security meeting led by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to ensure that they take stock of all the routes these herdsmen-cum terrorist are currently in Abia State, ensure that a combined team of security personnel comprising the army, police and DSS are deployed at strategic locations which leads into Abia State to ensure that the activities of the herdsmen are checked and monitored. I also expect the citizens of Abia State to pro-actively bring back civilian security outfits like Bakassi who will be stationed in every local government for monitoring and protection of my people.During the past week, Lai Muhammad said that Buhari is working “silently” to resolve the murderous tendencies of the Fulani Herdsmen. The situation is getting scary and the people cannot wait for Buhari to be working silently to resolve the terrorist acts while the terrorist herdsmen are killing loudly. Let the herdsmen restrict their cattle to the north, if the cattle can be born there, it can survive there, this excuse of seeking grasses around the country while raping, pillaging, looting and destroying other people’s life as they go about their murderous business must be contained and checkmated.
