A Senator of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Victor Umeh has described as baseless and insensible the declaration of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terror group by the Mohammadu Buhari led Federal Government..
Speaking on a Galaxy TV program monitored by IGBERE TV, Umeh said:

“IPOB is not a Violent Organisation, they don’t carry arms, they don’t throw bombs, they don’t kill people.
“Terrorists kill people, behead people and demand ransom…..
“It is not on record anywhere that the IPOB People have murdered anybody, have kidnapped anybody, demanded ransom for you to brand them a Terrorist Organisation”
In September 2017, the federal government in controversial circumstances declared IPOB a Terror group, a decision which has recieved wide condemnation across the globe.
