Drama unfolded after a landlady’s underpants were discovered in her tenant’s house.
The incident happened in Kisumu’s Obunga Estate,Kenya.
The landlady who requested to remain anonymous said she lost her three panties a while ago, only to realize that her ‘valuables’ were stolen by one of her tenants.
She alleged that the tenant could have entered her house while she was away, “as her door is open on most occasions.”
She claimed that the suspect may have stolen her pants with a motive of bewitching her.
“The panties were tied together with an axe meaning he had a motive of bewitching me,” claimed the landlady, who is a mother of three.
The underpants were discovered after the suspect’s son took the axe from where it had been kept to use while his parents were away.
He untied them from the axe and threw them outside, only for the landlady who was around to pick them.
“I was very surprised. I looked at the panties and discovered they were mine,” she said.
She reported the matter to the area assistant Chief who immediately summoned the suspect.
“The suspect tried to deny claims leveled against him even after the panties were paraded in the assistant Chief’s office for all and sundry to see. His son was called in to testify against him,” a witness said.
Feeling cornered, the suspect owned up and asked for forgives.
He was ordered to vacate the plot within ten days as a pastor was called in for prayers before the panties were burnt to ashes.
