"Kutigi's Passing, Big loss to Nigeria" Kalu mourns Ex-CJN

Former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has described the passing of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Idris Kutigi, as a big loss to the nation.

Extolling the virtues of the late jurist, Kalu stressed that Justice Kutigi contributed immensely to the Nigerian judiciary in different capacities.

According to the front-line politician, the late legal icon will be remembered for his impeccable character.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Kunle Oyewumi and sent to IGBERE TV, Kalu commiserated with the Nigerian judiciary over the painful loss.

He said, “the late Justice Idris Kutigi, was an outstanding legal icon in all ramifications.

“During his stint as Chief Justice of Nigeria, he implemented new reforms in the judicial system.

” The late jurist made invaluable contributions to nation building in several positions.

“Above all, he left behind good legacies for Nigerians to emulate”

The former governor while commiserating with the government and people of Niger State, the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the Kutigi family, prayed for the repose of Justice Kutigi’s soul.
