About 500 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA members in Ugwueke and Alaiyi communities in Bende local government, have dumped their parties and publicly tore their membership cards to formally embrace the All Progressives Congress, APC.
This was as Chief Barr Benjamin Kalu, a frontline APC aspirant for Bende Federal Constituency took his ward tour to Ugwueke and Alaiyi in his custom of keeping in touch with constituents.
Some of the defectors who spoke with IGBERE TV noted that they saw the need to join force with Team Benjamin Kalu following his philanthropic gestures and abilities.
Receiving the defectors, the APC chairman in Ugwueke ward, Hon. O. Nwogo assured the new party faithful that their interest will be protected, urging them to do their beat to deliver APC and Benjamin Kalu in 2019.
