Abia 2019: Ikpeazu's Abysmal Performance Does not Justify a 2nd Term - Ex-Super Eagles Player

A chieftain of APC in Abia State, Pascal Karibe Ojigwe has emphasised that the party is growing not just by the day in the state but by the minute, making it ready to take over power in the state come 2019 given the “abysmal performance” of the incumbent governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.

The ex super eagles player made this revelation in a chat with our correspondent in Umuahia. He said a lot of people with integrity are trooping into the party by the minute, people he said have something to offer to the society.

The Bende North State Constituency aspirant expressed regret that his victory at his previous attempt to represent his people was truncated, expressing optimism that with the caliber of people in APC, such will not happen again.

He explained that he dumped APGA for APC because in APGA there is no father at the centre. He said a lot of serious people are in APC, making it a formidable platform to win elections.

He said he is in politics to give back to the state and contribute his quota to its developmental process, having lived in Europe for a long time.

Mr. Ojigwe hailed the option of direct primaries adopted by the party in the state, saying it is a plus to the grassroot people. He expressed optimism that come 2019, he would emerge victorious to represent his constituents at Abia state House of Assembly.
