Chinese Christian converts have tasked their Nigerian counterparts to pray fervently prayers for the Republic of China to receive Jesus Christ.
Mary Lu, who made the call, while leading 18 Chinese Christian converts from Guangzhou district of China to the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State to understudy doctrines of the Catholic Church, confessed that Christianity is new to them.
Lu, who is coordinator of the Chinese Charismatic Group on the Yide road, Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral, Guangzhou, added that they were happy becoming Christians at last, urging other Chinese nationals yet to accept Christ to quickly embrace Him as their personal lord and saviour.
Receiving the delegates, the Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, commended the new converts for their devotion.
Obimma appealed to Christians worldwide to pray for the Chinese, especially their Christians, adding that it was difficult to worship Christ in such a Communist nation.
He extolled the Divine Love Prayer group in Guangzhou led by Emeka Ugoagwu for planting Catholicism in the area and called on other Christians to always sacrifice and evangelise as they attract instant blessings from God.
