The factional leader and embattled general superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Nigeria, Rev Paul Emeka, now moves with security as crisis continues to rock the leadership of the church. The security detail now follows with the embattled leader around as efforts are being to resolve the lingering crisis.
Meanwhile, supporters of two factions of the Assemblies of God Church in Abuja last weekend clashed over the leadership tussle in the church. The factions exchanged words in a heated conflict at the premises of the church at Wuse Zone 5, Abuja over the position of District Superintendent.
According to reports, trouble started when a faction of the church, which recognizes Reverend Chidi Okoroafor as the General Superintendent, attempted to prevent their purported suspended District Superintendent, Reverend Nicholas Anyanwu from granting press interview in the church premises.
The embattled pastor however belonged to another faction that recognizes one Rev. Paul Emeka as the authentic spiritual leader of the church.
The situation was brought under control by a police patrol team that arrived the scene to separate them.
