The state of insecurity level in Eluama is becoming too alarming these days as our youths now collaborate with foreigners to burgle homes of people and cart away with valuables and also destroy properties in the process.

Early this year, some homes in Eluama Communities were raided with some group of armed robbers with sophisticated weapons who succeeded in carting away with valuables and destroyed properties worth millions of Naira in the process.

Sometimes in may 2018, profjaysblog broke the news of a young boy named Chimeremeze Ibe, a native of Igbo-Ikoku in Amaibo who was caught read handed stealing a transformer in Amaibo, in Isuikwuato Local Government Area.

It’s quite unfortunate that young men could raid the country home of Engr Emmanuel Ndubuisi Mbaka who has invested so much in securing Eluama by providing a Police post to check mates the influx of people coming and going out, also establishing and funding a local vigilante outfit, sustaining an army checkpoints and so many other things to make sure there’s a better safety in the communities that made up Eluama.

Our source said:

“I hope and believe this incident will awaken the Eluama Development Union (EDU) authorities who have yet to effectively act in checking the activities of these criminally minded and irresponsible fellows who come into our village and break houses in collaborations with our ‘own’ people at home.”

Matters of security should be taken seriously instead of the levity that’s been the order and we call on all traditional rulers, community leaders, women leaders, youth leaders, etc to join hands in combating this epidemic that’s eating up Eluama gradually. Security issues is everybody’s business and should not be left for one person to carry and parents have a reasonable percentage of work to do on their children, wards and relatives. People should not also hesitate to report any suspicious movements of anybody, strangers to the security agencies and or community leaders for questioning.
