The leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Umunneochi have endorsed chief Amobi Ogah as their candidate to represent Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency at the House of Reps in 2019. The group also stated that this endorsement is in the spirit and fairness, equity and justice.

Speaking with Abia Breaking News at the end of a caucus meeting in Umunneochi, one of the party leaders in the zone Chief Uzo Egbo emphasized “for the cordial relationship that has long existed among the zones that make up the federal Constituency to continue, it is time for the power to shift to another zone, since we in Umunneochi have produced our daughter Nkeiruka Onyejocha who has been there for a third term.

“We thank her for her efforts and all she has done but come 2019, another zone will produce the representative for this Federal Constituency. That is our stand”.

Also speaking, Chief Dozie Chukwumerije said beyond the principles of equity and justice, Chief Ogah has the experience, exposure, character and competence to represent them, adding that his endorsement couldn’t have come at a better time the Constituency is in earnest search to strike a balance in terms of representation among the zones.

Addressing the party leaders, Chief Amobi Ogah thanked them for exhibiting what he called a sound sense of justice, adding that this will foster the long existing brotherliness and friendship the zones have enjoyed. He also promised to justify his mandate by ensuring that the people enjoy dividends of democracy when elected in 2019.
