The attention of the Abia State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to rumours making rounds that the party is embarking on PVC Verification exercise for ward and local government executives.
This rumour is not only false but fictitious and unfounded and above all the handiwork of impostors and desperadoes who are bent on causing confusion in the party. The ward and local government excos of our party and indeed the general public should ignore any such information instructing them to converge at a location for verification of PVC.
It is a common knowledge and indeed a veritable fact that there is only one exco of the party in our state led by Hon. Donatus Nwankpa produced on May 19, 2018 Congress of the party held in Umuahia the state capital. It is the only legally recognized exco of the party in the state and the only source for information on activities of the party across the state.
Those going about claiming to be a committee members from our National Secretariat, asking members of our party to come out with their PVCs for verification are desperados. They are not members of our party and as such should be ignored. They are carrying out their stock in trade which is vain quest for relevance and recognition which they are notorious for. The public should be cautious not to fall into the antics of these fellows.
The party has no intention of embarking on such exercise either now or in the near future. This is a deceit of the highest order. Lest we forget, the PVC is a personal property which details must not be disclosed to anyone under any guise.
APC as a highly responsible party that believes in the principles of transparency, accountability and integrity will not indulge in such shenanigan for any reason. These elements bent on tarnishing the image of the party must not be glorified with attention.
I call on the good people of Abia State to keep hope alive and keep giving APC their maximum support. Come 2019 this rein of bad governance will give way for a people oriented leadership which APC will bring on board.
