A Stalwart of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia state, Sir Chikwe Udensi has assured Abians that 2019 will bring about a remarkable improvement in the development of the state and in their living standard.
In a statement signed by the gubernatorial aspirant and made available to IGBERE TV to mark this year’s democracy day, he also called on the federal government to put measures in place to ensure that all Nigerians are safe wherever they are.
The International security Consultant said “I congratulate all Nigerians in general and Abians in particular for our 19 years democratic journey. Though it has not been that of a smooth ride, the takeaway remains that our democratic culture keeps getting richer as days go by.
“It is imperative to state here that there is so much job to do in line with entrenching visible and lasting dividends of democracy for our people. Not much has so far been achieved in this area. Abia our beloved state lags behind in infrastructural development. This we are poised to addressing when we come on board in 2019. Democracy without appreciable economic and social development is incomplete. The roads will become motorable again. The hospitals will treat patients again. The schools will become citadel of learning again. The water taps will bring out water instead of air. Abia economy will boom again and laughter and smile will be restored on our people’s faces.
“Their living standard will no more be debasing. Their lifespan will increase. Insecurity will be banished. Fear of unknown will fizzle away”.
On the killings going on across the country, Sir Udensi said “The federal government must do more to ensure that all Nigerians are safe and secure wherever they may be. The orgy killings around the country must be curtailed. A situation where our people wake up not being sure of their safety does not speak good of us. This must be addressed now to avert an impending danger this could give rise to”.
He also urged Abians not to give up hope but continue praying and supporting APGA, describing it as the party with the masses at heart.
