Just few days ahead of the Controversial restructuring Summit chaired by Ohanaeze Ndigbo under the leadership of Nnia John Nwodo, Igbo Youths Concern Group (IYCG)have issued a strong warning against holding such jamboree meeting in Igboland.
Vetting their anger, the youths who converge at Eke-Nkpor made this known through their spokesperson “Giant Comrade Gideon” saying” On 30th of May 2016, Nigerian army unleash a deadly repression on this ground killing our youths who was in solidarity with Biafra slain Heroes.
“We the youths have been monitoring this so called red cap chiefs called Ohanaeze and they had never stood on their ground to condemn such atrocities and man inhumanity to mankind against our youths . ”
” Since our elders in Ohanaeze Ndigbo refuses to pay their tribute to our slain youths but choose to fraternized with our killers from the North, we shall as well join forces and fraternize with other Igbo groups to ensure this summit is buried once and for all”
” It is insane for you to hold Restructuring Summit here Igboland. Restructuring is not our problem, it is not the root cause of our marginalization. Go back and research why our youths were murdered in Nkpor, Abia, Port Harcourt,and Enugu talk about that pertinent issues of a free state and we shall listen to you as elders ”
“Take your Summit to Borno ,Adamawa or Maiduguri they need it more than we do, but if this summit hold in the hearts of Igboland it shall be mare by Civil Disobedience, we shall put a stiff Resistance to it.” We learnt that Nnia Nwodo is now parading Anambra with Hausa – Fulani soldiers even ahead of the summit , he should be ready to order his foot soldiers and hired assailants to kill us all because we are in our land and as such we are ready to die with them”
We charge all Igbo youths to troops out En-Mass on May 21 in Alex Ekwueme stadium Awka, Anambra state. The group stated.
