Troops of the Joint Task Force South East, Operation UDO KA, have dismantled a suspected t+rrorist camp in Anambra State, recovering several weapons, ammunition and materials believed to be used in making improvised expl%sive devices.

The operation, conducted by personnel of the 185 Battalion alongside members of the Anambra Vigilante Group, followed the abd¥ction of three persons around Osakwa in Ihiala Local Government Area. The victims were subsequently rescued.
According to a statement shared on the Nigerian Army’s X handle on Friday, troops arrested a suspected k+dnapper, identified as Sunday Obi, during a surprise operation on October 1, 2026.
Information obtained from the suspect reportedly led security operatives to a criminal syndicate’s camp at Abator, Ogbaru LGA, across the Isieke waterside.
The soldiers reportedly navigated the waterways in canoes to reach the hideout, where they engaged the suspected t+rrorists, forcing them to escape with g+nshot inj¥ries.
Items recovered from the camp included two AK-47 rifles with magazines, three pump-action g+ns, three locally made Dane g+ns, 62 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition and 149 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition.
Security personnel also seized two cartridges, suspected bomb-making materials, a solar generator, power bank, car battery, two motorcycle batteries, two solar panels and two mobile phones.
The Army said the discoveries had exposed part of the logistical support system sustaining k+dnspping and other criminal operations in the area.
