BREAKING!!! 1 Shot Dead as Protesting Shiite Members, Police Clash in Abuja (Photos)

The Shiite group has resumed its protest against the continued detention of their Islamic Movement in Nigeria leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky. One person was reportedly shot dead by security operatives during the protest.

The protesting group have paralysed activities at the Federal Secretariat complex, Abuja, a few metres from the National Assembly and the Presidential Villa.The Shiite group has resumed its protest against the continued detention of their Islamic Movement in Nigeria leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky. One person was reportedly shot dead by security operatives during the protest.

The protesting group have paralysed activities at the Federal Secretariat complex, Abuja, a few metres from the National Assembly and the Presidential Villa.

According to report, the protesters who were armed with stones, chased away a police team and overturned a traffic warden cabin on the road.

They also reportedly injured the Federal Secretariat Divisional Police Crime officer in the face after he asked them to stop harassing motorists.
