Following news making rounds that she killed one Mr. Bright of Umuchi Akuma Ihechiowa of Arochukwu local government area of Abia state, Princess Monica Ikodiya Uche Ota, a member of a federal parastatal has come out to tell her story, describing allegations against her as sponsored blackmail.
In an exclusive interview with Abia Breaking News, she described the allegations are spurious and a product of the figment of the imagination of the accusers, describing herself as a victim of envy and political witch hunt.
She said “On the 24th of December 2017 when I came to spend the Christmas with my family and loved ones the way I usually do, little did I know that the duo of Tony Ndu and Okezie Ogbuji have perfected their plans that the will not allow me enjoy my Christmas in peace.
“To actualise their satanic plans against me, they unleashed their army of cultists after me. When they couldn’t see me at home, they maliciously damaged my Hyundai creta baby jeep I just newly acquired. Not satisfied with that, they decided to set it on fire without any provocation.
“When I came back, I reported the matter to the DPO in the area who unfortunately refused to take any action. Not satisfied with the incalculable damages they have done against me, on January 4, they reinforced and came against my security aides and made away with one of their rifles. After a gun duel, they were able to recover the rifle.
“When we left for Arochukwu to treat one of them who sustained injury as a result of the gun duel with the vicious sponsored cultists and also to officially lodge a complain to the DPO, again they regrouped and launched another attack in my house. This time, they torched my house to ashes as nothing was saved from there. As if that was not enough, they proceeded my my brother’s house, Hon. Michael Kalu who was neither at home or had any knowledge of what was going on and razed down his too. I later gathered from a reliable source that they acted on the instruction of their boss Tony Ndu. I have pictures to back up my claim”.
On the women who allegedly protested in front of government house, Princess Monica Ikodiya Uche Ota said they are the mothers of the youths who allegedly committed the arson, accusing one Uwaoma Uche of being their sponsor.
“The reason is that I met Uwaoma Uche in the home of an opposition party member in the state. He was perfecting plans on how to work against his political party the PDP, accusing gov. Ikpeazu of not dolling out money for him. I confronted him and told him I’m going to report him to his party members. In a desperate effort to deter me, he has adopted this archaic strategy to blackmail me.”
She also countered the claim made by the leader of the women who protested to the government house Mrs. Better Emeka Kalu that there was a coronation on January 4th, claiming that there was no such thing in the entire community on the said date.
“There was nothing like coronation of any kind on the 4th she is taking about. My very self was at Obinto Ihechiowa before the boy who was washing my car called me on phone that Tony Ndu cultists gang have burnt down my Houses, office and car. That Womam carrying the picture is a notorious lawyer who is ordinarily deceiving the public. How can any right thinking person believe Mrs Better Emeka Kalu chiowa that four police men that were assigned to MONICA Uche Otah were there watching, then she (Monica) collected their gun from them and shot Chikezie aka Bright to death? This is a fatal lie to say the least.
“The father of the late boy granted interview to Sun Newspaper on 18th February 2018, Sunday Sun page 12 , you will discover that Michael Kalu Ikpe’s name was not mentioned any where there. That woman Mrs. Better Emeka Kalu chiowa has been mad for sometime. It’s possible her mental illness has started again. There were two similar incidents but mine was different”.
She also accused the protesting women of ploy to deceive the general public and the government to cover to cover the gangs whom she accused of being responsible for burning people houses in the area.
“The women came to deceive the general public and Government in an attempt to cover up the criminals and cultists burning people houses in Umuchiakuma Ihechiowa in Arochukwu LGA.
“On 30th December 2017 the cultists gang in Umuchiakuma killed one widow late Madam Hellen Eni Okoro. The Leader of the cult gang Anthony Ndu was arrested on the 31st day of January 2018 by the Nigeria police state CID D2 Abia State command Umuahia. The gang also robbed the Inlaw of the late Madam Hellen Eni Okoro, by name Mr Ephraim from Cross River state on the 3rd January.
“I was invited as one of the principal witness who saw them on that 30th day of December 2017 around 7.15 PM attacking the late woman and the Inlaw. I went to state CID D2 and gave my statement as eye witness and a law abiding citizen of Abia State Nigeria. My statement was recorded. On the 3rd January 2018, the cultists gang in Umuchiakuma conspired among themselves to kill me so that my evidence as eye witness will die. On the 4th January, the cultists gang arrived my house to kill me and met my absence and saw a boy that was washing my Toyota Avensis car with Registration number KC 611 KJA, then they poured patrol on my car, my 3 different buildings and set them on fire. What left for me and family was the cloth I was wearing that 4th morning.
“In response to what the man was saying Umuchiakuma Ihechiowa, does not corronate Ezeogo, it rotates among the eldest person in the kindred that owns it and if the eldest person can’t handle the seat he will appoint a another on his behalf. Chief Kalu Uche Otah is Ezeogo Umuchiakuma Ihechiowa kingdom, the kingship was handed over to by Mr Henry Ogbuereke Abel.
“Why the parents of the criminals cultists gang are against the Ezeogo is that he said every criminal and cultism activities most stop in Umuchiakuma. The woman who claimed to be the woman leader and spokesman is not from our village, she is a native of Umuye. She is not the woman leader nor Eze Nwanyi. She arranged the moment because her husband was among the cultists ring leader terrorising Umuchiakuma Ihechiowa.
“The cultists gang again on the same 4th January attacked 4 mobile police men trying to snatch their rigles from them. The solar street lights I attracted have been vandalised by these dangerous criminals. If cultists went to exchange fire with police who will they blame on the out come of their actions?
“I am ready to release those boys until justice is done. They are in police cell on the order of Attorney General of the Federation. They are fond of burning people houses in Umuchiakuma every year. This madness must stop.
“Some years ago this same criminal gang burnt down chief Ragar Ibeabuchi’s house and that of Mr. Okore Jonah. The truth is that these criminals, their mothers asking for their release, let them go to Abuja and Dance the surugede Music. When they burnt down my Houses and the office of Ikpeazu Fans club in Arochukwu LGA chapter in Umuchiakuma and burnt down the Governor’s bill Board, where were they?
“They should go to Abuja and answer the police and forget the cheap and local propaganda. The cultist gang had also chased away the President General of Umuchiakuma Development Union, Pastor John Anya Oti for not supporting cultism in the village. The cultist gang leader Ndu Innocent Offia, a staff of Arochukwu LGA, finance department took his cultist gang to the house of Pastor John Anya Oti and damaged his house, and pick his sons Ebubechi John Anya Oti, Kalu Kalu Ikpo, Michael Ogbonnaya Ikpo, Obaa Kalu Ikpo, Francis Kalu Ikpe, Enyinnaya Uche Otah, to kill them for speaking against cultisim, the police from Arochukwu that came was also attacked by the cultists hoodlums. All I need is justice”, she concluded.
