About 35 People sustained injuries and more than hundred Houses with almost 78 Shops and Silos were destroyed and also properties worth millions of naira were also lost aftermath of Fire and Windstorm disasters that occurred in Sabon Birni and Gwandi communities in Kebbe LGA of Sokoto state respectively.
Head Nema Sokoto operations office, Suleiman Muhammad led the agency’s staff and other emergency humanitarian workers to the scenes of the incidents to conduct an assessment with the view to determine the extent of damages and to ascertain those affected by the disaster
The assessment team after its findings is expected to forward a comprehensive report to concern authorities for necessary action in order to alleviate the plight of affected victims.
