The Lagos State chapter of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, (OMPAN) on Saturday, 7 April elected it’s pioneer executive members.

The Lagos State chapter of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, (OMPAN) on Saturday, 7 April elected it’s pioneer executive members.
The election, which was supervised by the National vice President, south west, Mr Peter Jones saw the Publisher of The News Accelerator, Iwuchukwu Francis emerging as the State Chairman.
In the same development, the Publisher/Editor of The DailyBells Nigeria (www.dailybells.com.ng) Mr. Ademijuwon Osunnuyi was also elected as the State General Secretary.
Other officials that emerged include Victoria Hanson (Vice Chairman), Uzoma Nzekwe (Treasurer/Finacial Secretary), Ifeatu Osegbo (Welfare Officer), and Arthur Richard (Public Relations Officer).
In his acceptance speech, the state chairman, Iwuchukwu posited that he alongside other state executives would do everything possible to move the association forward.
“I must thank the entire members on behalf of the newly elected officers for your co-operation. I want to assure you all that we will do out best to move the Lagos OMPAN forward,” He said.
The DailyBells Nigeria recalls that the OMPAN had equally elected her pioneer national executives during her maiden national convention held in Owerri, Imo State, from 30th to 31st March, 2018, where over 300 online media practitioners from 36 States of the nation converged.
OMPAN, among other numerous objectives, is expected to ensure that members of the association discharge their duties of informing the public with factual news reports that would foster development in the nation.
Mr. Emeh James Anyalekwa is the National President of OMPAN.
